Moroccan chamomile oil has a short history. It is mostly used in perfumery.
Source: Ormenis multicaulis is mainly grown in Morocco.
Extraction: Steam distilled from the freshly dried daisy-like flowers.
Aroma: Bright, slightly woody and fresh.
Fragrance note: Middle.
Properties: Chamomile Maroc is not a true chamomile and should not be used as a substitute to true chamomile as it is chemically and aromatically different. It is used in aromatherapy to relax and sooth the senses aiding the release of tension headaches promoting restful sleep and general wellbeing. It is a good oil for those with sensitive skin and suffering menstrual discomfort.
Uses: Massage, baths, inhalation and compress.
Blends well with: Cedarwood, Cypress, Frankincense, Lavender, Oakmoss and Vetiver.
Caution: Ensure proper dilution of Chamomile Maroc essential oil.
