Source: Commonly known as Wild Carrot, it is native to temperate regions of Europe and south west Asia.

Extraction: Carrot Seed essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried seeds.

Aroma: Sweet, fruity and seedy.

Fragrance note: Middle.

Properties: Carrot Seed essential oil is a clear, pale yellow liquid. It is a carminative, stimulating tonic. It helps to relieve the stresses and strains of daily life. It is rich in vitamin A which helps to optimise a healthy, youthful complexion.

Uses: Massage, baths, may be added to a base emollient, vaporization.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Melissa, Neroli, Orange, Petitgrain, Rosemary and Verbena.

Caution: Always dilute to less than 5% before application to skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not swallow.
